  • Mahakali Deshu Temple – The highest point of Fagu is the hilltop Deshu Temple devoted to Mother Goddess Kali or Durga. She is the main deity in the region with many temples to her in almost every hilltop and human settlement. The most famous being the beautiful Bhima Kali Temple at Sarahan, on the Hindustan Tibet Road at a distance of 6 km from Maya Nature Villa.
  • Cheog – Just 2.5 km from Maya Nature Villa by the road at a lower elevation from Fagu is the small settlement of Cheog. It can be reached by a beautiful drive through deodar forest or alternatively and more rewardingly through a walking trail. Cheog has a small market with sweet shops and vegetable shops among others, etc.
  • Thanedhar – Thanedhar is a village in Himachal Pradesh in India. At 8,000 feet (2,400 m), it is 53 km from Maya Nature Villa and is about a three-hour drive from Shimla. The pretty orchard country of Thanedar and Kotgarh is famous for being home to one of the first apple plantations in the country. It was here in Kotgarh in 1916 that Samuel Stokes, a social worker from Philadelphia, brought the first apple saplings, the place he adopted as his home.

  • Narkanda – Narkanda is a town and a Nagar panchayat in Kumarsain subdivision of Shimla district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an altitude of 2708 meters on the Hindustan-Tibet Road (NH 5) in Himachal Pradesh, India within a fir (abies pindrow) forest. It is about 45 km away from Maya Nature Villa and surrounded by the Himalayan Range.
  • Hatu peak – Hatu peak is the second highest peak in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located at an elevation of 3400 m (11,152 ft) above sea level. The peak is surrounded by a dense forest of conifers, oaks, and maples. Hatu Peak lies on the Shimla-Rampur Highway nearly 51 km from Maya Nature Villa. The roads are in good condition until Narkanda which is nearly 8 km from the peak. From here you can either trek for 8 km or go by bike or car. From there the peak can be accessed by bike or car but the road is difficult to use and only one car can climb at a time.
  • Theog – A quiet escape and one of the less crowded attractions of the state, Theog in Himachal Pradesh, warmly wrapped in the arms of the mighty Himalayas, has everything a popular hill station can give you minus the tourist rush. 12 km away from the Maya Nature Villa, Theog makes up for a beautiful weekend getaway in the hills, comfortably located in the lap of nature. It is also considered one of the most favorite camping site options for campers.
